is The Walking Dead's Shane a good or bad guy?

does anybody out there watch The Walking Dead on AMC?

Chastity and i began watching the show last season. i think Chastity started watching it for the zombies and i started watching it for the pretentious feeling that you receive from watching an AMC show. we used to watch the show every Sunday and although we slacked off a little bit this year, we were able to catch up on all the episodes this week due to the fact that neither of us has to work until next year.

after 13 episodes of this zombie-obsessed show, i have only one question: is Shane a good guy or a bad guy?

Shane's good guy credentials are top notch. he's a cop, a provider and he's helped keep his crew safe.

in the seven episodes that have aired this season, however, he also killed an innocent man in an effort to save his own life, he constantly argued that his group should move on from its quest to find one of his traveling partner's daughters, threatened to kill the group's resident old man and he got a bad haircut. then there was that whole let's-kill-all-the-zombies-in-the-barn-of-the-people-who-are-lettering-us-stay-on-their-land-even-though-the-landlord-dude-specifically-told-us-to-not-kill-zombies-on-his-land-and-leave-that-barn-alone-because-it-contained-the-zombie-remains-of-his-wife-and-stepson-and-the-aforementioned-girl-that-the-group-was-looking-for.

Shane's performance this season also came a year after he was sleeping with his best friend's wife, tried to rape the aforementioned wife and thought about killing the aforementioned best friend. after getting shot down by the aforementioned wife, Shane also beat up an abusive member who was in his group, which could be considered something to be put on "good guy" sheet since the guy was an abusive jerk or the "bad guy" sheet since the husband and father of one was then rendered ineffective when the zombies attacked the camp a few episodes later and killed him.

so i don't know if Shane is a good guy or a bad guy. either way, i wish that he would just kill that Andrea chick because i can't stand her.

yes, for the fourth straight year, I am not in Billings for the holidays. and i'm fine with that.

i hate traveling during the winter. and since there is no such thing as a trip to Billings in the winter that doesn't involve the Denver airport, i'd rather just walk.

aside from my grandma, i also don't really have a family anymore in Billings. Anthony is staying in Oregon this winter and Alyssa is on the East Coast. Noelle doesn't live at home anymore, my dad is now living at his third our fourth residence of the 2011 calender year and i think that i've mentioned how well i get along with my mother.

and while it sucks that i won't get to hang out with friends or see Del Taco or snow this winter (seriously, what is with this rain?), i'm fine with being in Texas. Chastity's family treats me great and she is really the only family i need.

i actually haven't been back to Montana since the fall of 2009. my next trip will probably be in August for Robyn's wedding. i'll have to get my Del Taco then.
